Spring 2018 FINALLY decided to show it’s face last week (briefly!) and with it came an intense desire to wear nothing but light, floaty summer dresses. I mean think about it…are dresses not THE most comfortable and hassle free items of clothing?! Unlike trousers and skirts, you don’t need to think what to pair them with. Just pop on some sandals or sneakers, add a cute bag and off you swish! Simples.
Style note: Based on real life events from last week when my pasty legs first saw daylight after a LONG winter, I would highly recommend accessorising your summer dresses with a slick of fake tan.
From punchy prints in florals and polka dots to sleek minimalist linen styles in neutral shades, SS ’18 has a dress for everyone. When it comes to styling, dresses are super versatile and can easily take you from day to night and from work to play. Dress them down for day time with slides or sneakers and a straw bag or style them up for evening with some strappy sandals or wedges and a leather bucket bag or clutch. The potential is endless!
Style note: If the weather refuses to play ball, wear your dress with ankle boots and a blazer or leather biker jacket. Score extra style points by clashing a check blazer with a floral dress.
